When we refer to "PERO," "we," or "us" in this policy, by this we mean PERO and PERO is the data controller of the information we gather when you use our Services. PERO runs an events programme and pero.world. We refer to all of these services and products, websites as "Services" in this policy.
This website is operated by PERO.

When you supply any personal information to pero.world (e.g. to subscribe to receive marketing newsletters) we have legal obligations towards you in the way we use your data. Any information you provide to PERO will only be used by the PERO team, select suppliers, funders and partners in order to provide our Services. We collect certain information or data about you when you use pero.world and/or provide us directly with information, including:
· User-generated content: this includes any information provided by yourself to list your projects in the PERO newsletter, and any associated contact information
· User-generated content: this includes any information provided by yourself to claim travel bursaries
· Your IP address, and details of which version of web browser and device you used
· Information on how you use the site, using cookies and page tagging techniques
· Your email address, full name and subscription preferences when you sign up for our email newsletters, and how you use our email newsletters - for example, whether you open them and which links you click on
Who can view my data and what do they do with it?
This data can be viewed by authorised people in the PERO team and our suppliers, to:
· Improve the site by monitoring how you use it
· Gather feedback to improve our services, for example, our email alerts
· Respond to any feedback you send us if you’ve asked us to

· Allow you to access PERO services
· Provide you with information about PERO
How will we use the information about you?
Information gathered from the website or Google submission form for the newsletter submissions is used to process your application for inclusion on the PERO website.
PERO will need to contact you when we perform maintenance or make structural changes to the website. Such contact will be minimal. You have the right to stop such contact by emailing hello@pero.world, however this may affect your profile entry in the event of technical website changes.
If you have signed up for our marketing newsletters, we will use the details you provided to send you regular newsletters and updates via email. We will not share this information for marketing purposes with other companies.
Marketing
Our marketing newsletters are used by us to send you regular updates on events, news, and features on PERO and projects.
You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes. If you no longer wish to be contacted, please contact hello@pero.world.
Access to your information and correction
You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you. If you would like a copy, please email hello@pero.world from the address registered to your profile/email subscription.
How long do we keep information?
· Account information: We retain your account information until you delete your account. We also retain some of your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, to resolve disputes, to enforce our agreements, to support business operations and to continue to develop and improve our Services. We will delete your account after three years if you have not engaged with our Services.
· Marketing information: If you have elected to receive marketing emails from us, we retain information about your marketing preferences unless you specifically ask us to delete such information. We retain information derived from cookies and other tracking technologies for a reasonable period of time from the date such information was created.
